The origin of zongzi is said to be remembering the Chu country's love for the poet Qu Yuan during the war more than two thousand years ago. This also tells us that the earliest zongzi was sweet because they were wrapped in croquettes.
The first to connect rice dumplings with Qu Yuan was the "Continuous Memories" (around 500 AD) by Wu Rong, a native of Liang of the Southern Dynasty. The book states that "Qu Yuan threw himself into Miluo and died on May 5. The people of Chu mourned him, so he threw rice into the water to worship him." It has become a custom since then, but this original record has been about 800 years since Qu Yuan's death.
Who did Zongzi jump into the river and remember? The Taiwanese song "Feng dumplings" created by Zhang Qiu Dongsong was published in 1949. Because of the description of the economic rumor after the Second War, it was listed as a banned song. Until 1959, singer Guo Jinfa slightly moved and covered it, which was very popular and was also named "King of Meat Dumplings".

Qu Yuan, who wrote "God's Question", should not accept that life and death are due to fate. After he was exiled, he met a father on the banks of the Miluo River. He asked him how he would fall to this point. Qu Yuan replied, "Everyone is lonely and I am alone, everyone is drunk and I am alone." Father Qu Yuan, since the world is so dark, why don’t you go away from the current? Is this worth it to you who are full of talent?
Qu Yuan replied: "Those who have new bathing must wear a crown, and those who have new bathing must cheer up their clothes." He was willing to throw himself into the river and buried in the belly of a fish, and his good character will not be tarnished. So, after leaving a post "Sand" in the open stone, jumped into the storm-like Miro River, hoping to awaken the spiritual consciousness of the people and the king with the death of the flesh. This is the "lonely brave man" situation that touches generations of people "I love you to walk alone in the dark alley, I love you not to kneel, I love you to confront you and refuse to cry for a while."
The Dragon Boat Festival in these few years is very special. The new crown pneumonia epidemic has changed the whole world.
