How can a confused generation have a calm mind?
According to a well-known media survey in Taiwan, 60% of young Taiwanese people in Generation Z feel confused. The reason they are confused is because they don’t know what to do and are afraid of future uncertainties, so they are prone to follow the crowd and have no advice.
I think this seems to be very common. I recalled that when I was just graduating from college, the same was true for me. On the one hand, our education did not teach students to find their own talents, nor did they teach strategic thinking, but only wanted scores; on the other hand, the world has changed too quickly, and we have been followed by learning, focusing on structure, and re-learning, but we cannot keep up with the speed of the world's change. So how should we respond?
I think when we are young, we should explore the scenery we want. When we go out of society or feel confused, we should also take the action of finding our keywords. This is very important. Finding the keywords of your own life is also equivalent to finding your own position. Just like having a GPS, knowing where you are, others can find you, and you can also find the direction you are going. With keywords, life will have a calm mind and your heart will be at peace. So in the era of change, we need a calm mind more, and looking for keywords is to have an antidote to calm mind.
Now young people actually hope to find a stage in life so that their dreams and ideals can be fully developed. Under such circumstances, it is impossible to find yourself and the direction and keywords as soon as possible, so that they can move towards their goals without any hesitation.
How to find the keywords of your own life?
keywords can be said to be different from others, that is, your difference. You must highlight your differences, and other talents will have more opportunities to know and remember you. But it is not about the contacts from the audience, but about sincerely examining one's own background, value or interest, and what is the difference between it and others.
Everyone has different growth backgrounds, and everyone has different perspectives and ways of thinking. Think about what would it be if you find out the important people, things and things that affect you? And your interest, something that happened to you, or something that you have done, your life story, your personality, these may be your personal characteristics. Write it down and you may find that this is the difference between you and others. It may be your view of things, or your dreams, and this may be hidden in your keywords.
Looking for your own keywords, according to my own experience, I went forward with the following five steps:
1. Confirm your own wishes:
People only come to the world once. If we don’t know our wishes, then what are we living for? Then what is the difference between it and thousands of others? Without wishes, it is like a dead man in the corpse and no soul. You just live for survival, not for life. So this is why it is important to find a wishful view.
The so-called wishful scenery is the direction you want to go, and in another sentence, it is the person you will be like in the next five or ten years. People must have an imagination space for their future to have the meaning of continuing and focus on going to their destination.
If you still can't find the wishful view now, then go and see if there are people around you who are worthy of your appreciation and admiration. If you want to be that way, observe his thoughts, his language, his behavior, and then imitate him secretly. The so-called imitation is not a complete copy, but finding the places and reasons that make you appreciate, and then imitate; because you will have your own style, after a long time you will find your experience, and then integrate into your style, and you will find a direction.
I used to admire a classmate in my class when I was in elementary school. I thought she was smart, interesting, and talented, so I began to observe what she liked. Later I found that she loved reading books, so I also learned that she started going to the library. At the beginning, I couldn't read many books, so I forced myself to read through all the extracurricular books. After reading a lot of books, I gradually found some experiences and fun. From the book, I found the answer to life, and slowly read it became my interest, knowing that I want to be a professional person related to people. It is not surprising that I later chose public relations to become my aspiration.
2. Just do it right:
Don't think too much about what you are doing, because now the plan is not changing. If you still don't know what you want, try it first, because after doing it, you will know whether you are suitable. Only in your interaction with others will you give you some suggestions to discover what you like and do best from the way you do. There is no intention to do things without giving them, just stop at imagination, you never know whether you can or cannot. There are many times when I realized that I really didn’t fit. I thought it was not suitable for what I didn’t like, but I realized that it was actually very interesting after doing it. Therefore, only by trying and verifying, the thing you like will become more and more clear.
Jabers said that you must find what you love, and your final career takes up most of your life, so you can truly gain a sense of accomplishment by believing that you are doing intentional work. If you haven't found it yet, continue searching.
Many people will ask how to find the things you are best at and most interested in, that is, to observe what you do will make you forget to eat, forget about time, and even others think it is very hard, but you don’t think it’s hard, that’s right..
3. Missionization:
gives me a reason that must be my fault. If you find the thing you like the most or do the best, and want to give meanings and become your mission. Like the founder of Fresh Breast Farm, Yang Jianjia, wrote in his new book "Doing something that only you can do" (Tianxia Culture), "I believe there will always be something that will touch you when you see it, and others don't feel the same way you do. That moment is to determine what you want to do, and the next thing is your choice." So give it a meaning from what you like, so that you can have the mission of action.
I am currently establishing the "Influence Brand Academy" based on this mission. I believe that the correct view of promoting brand public relations is for me, so no matter how hard it is, it is still as sweet as a bird's eye. This is the power of the mission. Because you can do this better because of you, this society and the world is better. Then do this to the extreme and see what will happen, and your keywords are about to come out at this time.
4. Planning prospects:
Once you understand the wishful view and mission, it is easy to list the action plans for how to achieve the wishful view. For example, every year at the end of the year, I will make three things to do the next year, and these three things are linked to my wishful scenery, so I will adjust toward that goal, and I will do it as long as it is related to the wishful scenery, so I will focus more and more.
In addition, I hope there are teachers, writers and brand public relations in my keywords, so I will write four columns in the next month, write one book a year, and then give a lecture to create a brand school. These are all things that make me more and more focused and rely on these keywords.
5. Continue for three to five years:
With such speed and rhythm, keywords will appear after three to five years. Take me as an example to continue to do things that suit the wishes. Now, as long as you check it on Google, these keywords will follow me. Some things take time to get tired. Only when you are tired can you have experience, mind and confidence. The keyword is too urgent. It takes some time to confirm the direction and then accumulate time to achieve results.
The above are my steps to find keywords. I will share them here for reference. Follow this step to find your own keywords in life. My first successful experiment was a keyword for me when I was in my second life. At that time, I was also in the public sector. After focusing on the technology public sector for five to six years, I was favored by the OME Group and actively invited me to join and buy it. Therefore, "women's business" and "tech public sector" became the keywords for my career.
The world is changing, and our thinking must follow the time and keep going. The second experiment was successful. After leaving the job site, I entered my third life. I wanted to do some experiments, so I planned to do three things every year. After five to six years of accumulation, I slowly transformed into an entrepreneurial supervisor, writer, and brand public expert. Such keywords followed me again. So try to choose this method and continue for a while. I believe you can definitely find keywords that belong to your own life.
Now, four or seven percent of work disappears after twenty years, but this phenomenon does not tell us that we do not need to work hard or learn new things, but that the importance of knowledge about existing things will be reduced, and replaced by "ability". Therefore, we cannot stick to rigid knowledge and thinking, but instead use knowledge to solve problems without seeing them. This is very important in the future!
said that rigid thinking can harm people, and I myself have made me mistakenly judge the future of my child because of rigid thinking. My son liked to play video games since he was a child, and he was often addicted to Internet cafes. At that time, I went to Internet cafes to bring him back after work almost every day. In this era when we didn’t have a game career more than 20 years ago, we were very anxious as parents. I always thought this was a plaything behavior and didn’t know what he could do in the future. Therefore, our family relationship was very tight at one time.
As a result, my son still did not change his original intention, just liked video games. After graduating from college, he even made it his dream to enter the game industry. I can really say that the four words "reflective" are used to describe his attitude towards pursuing dreams, and it is not too much. Now he really works as a telecom manager in a multinational company. What’s important is that he does the job he likes, and he feels very accomplished and happy.
This incident changed my rigid thinking and I could never use the experience value of adults to frame the infinite future of children. The world is changing, and our thinking must also keep pace with the times.
