There are many dietary methods that are good for health on the Internet, and two dietary patterns are discussed extensively, namely low-saccharide (low-carb) diet and low-oil (low-fat) diet. Annals Of Internal Medicine published a study on which of these two are more healthy. Studies have shown that low-carb and high-fat (LCHF) and unrestricted diets perform better than high-carb and low-fat diet (HCLF) models in terms of weight loss and blood sugar control.
Diabetics were divided into two groups for practical experiments. Low-saccharide diets were more effective and could improve fatty liver. In the study, more than 100 patients with type 2 diabetes participated in it, and random control trials were conducted on them. The study period included a 6-month study of interventional measures and a 3-month follow-up study. Researchers said that compared with the high-carbohydrate low-fat (HCLF) group, patients with type 2 diabetes with unrestricted heat, have greater clinical improvements in blood sugar control and weight. This study results are very important because more than 48000 people worldwide are affected by type 2 diabetes. It is also worth mentioning that about half of the patients with diabetes suffer from non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD), which eventually leads to cirrhosis and causes the liver to lose normal function. According to media reports, previous studies have shown that weight loss can better control diabetes and improve non-alcoholic fatty liver; while reducing carbohydrate intake can improve blood sugar.
2 Diets help health. Research results of improving pyrosterol and reducing triglyceride fats also found that the hemoglobin A1c in the low-saccharide diet group has decreased by 0.59% compared with the other group. Compared with the other group, the weight of the low-saccharide diet group has also decreased by about 3.81 kg, and it has also reduced more body fat and waist. In addition, at the end of the 6-month interventional study, the two groups of participants had higher HDL-lipoprotein sterols (good sterols) and lower triglycerides.
