Baige officially launched its latest AI computing platform - Baige 5.0 (Baige 5.0) on the 28th. This platform is driven by Kunlunxin, independently developed by China, aims to improve the operation efficiency of the DeepSeek source model. This artificial intelligence and online search giant based in Beijing provides faster network connections, stronger computing power, and more optimized model training and reasoning capabilities through this upgraded platform.
Baidu's vice president of executive Shen Xun said that the launch of the Baige 5.0 platform will increase the operation efficiency of the AI model by 50% at the same time and cost. He pointed out that Kunlai Chip Super Stage has been enabled on the Baige 5.0 platform. This stage supports hundreds of interconnected AI chips and can deploy and operate an AI system with one megaparameters in minutes. The number of parameters in the AI model determines the scale and complexity of its use, and this innovation will bring new possibilities to the development of AI technology.
Baige 5.0 platform has achieved a one-piece upgrade of network, computing power, inference system and training inference. The training throughput rate is increased by 30% to 60% compared with the source version, supporting the largest scale of Wanka's unique structure computing cluster, significantly improving the model training efficiency.
The Baidu Ernie 5.0 multi-mode basic model launched at the same time combines the understanding and generation of text, videos, pictures, and music files, and enhances the multi-scene capabilities of AI applications. Baidu founder Li Junhong emphasized the role of DeepSeek's ecological environment and model context agreements in promoting industries in multi-venues in 2025, and Baige platform guarantees its bottom-level computing power.
