Reuters quoted two people familiar with the matter as saying that the latest AI chip RTX 6000D, a US artificial intelligence (AI) chip industry, has a mediocre reaction, and some major Chinese technology companies have not selected it.
RTX 6000D is mainly used for AI recommendation tasks. Sources said that in terms of functions, the price of 50,000 RMB (about NT$210,000 RMB) is relatively expensive. The sample test results show that the chip performance is lower than that of the United States banned the export of China's NVIDIARTX 5090 chips, but it can still easily purchase the latter from the gray market, and the price is less than half of the RTX6000D.
Earlier this month, other sources revealed that Chinese technology giants such as Alibaba, Teng, and Words Dance are also watching whether NVIDIAH20 chip orders will be processed. NVIDIA re-approved the U.S. government to sell H20 in July, but the shipment has not yet been reopened. These Chinese businessmen are also looking forward to the release of NVIDIAB30A chips that are far stronger than the H20. The above three chips are all specially recommended by NVIDIA to meet US export restrictions.
RTX 6000D adopts NVIDIA's latest Blackwell architecture with traditional GDDR memory, and the memory bandwidth is 1398GB per second, which is only slightly lower than the US limit of 1.4TB in April. The RTX 6000D part is to fill in the vacancy after the ban on sale in April. The H20 price ranges from 10,000 to 10,000 USD (about NT$300,000 to 360,000 USD), with an NVIDIA older Hopper architecture, but memory bandwidth is as high as 4TB per second.
