Many pets have a sense of territory, and the same is true for cats. Originally, there were always cats at home. If they came again, they might be hostile. However, the cats were too lonely and wanted to make the cats less lonely. So how should we solve this problem?

1. It is better to have a smaller cat in a new pet cat.

If you can choose, the new pet cat should be smaller in size and age than the original cat, and it will be less threatening.

2. Avoid pet male cat combinations.

It is best to avoid the combination of two pet male cats, because even when they get along well in childhood and when they are sexually mature, they may still have mutual aggression between male cats, or ligation of the cat first can also slightly reduce such aggressive behavior. Finally, in terms of personality, do not choose pet cats that are too opposed to the original pet cats. For example, overly active pet cats may make introverted and nervous cats very nervous.

3. New cats should be isolated for 1-2 weeks.

Pet cats that have just been brought home should be isolated for one to two weeks to avoid spreading possible diseases to pet cats at home. The isolation room prepared for new pet cats should have independent food pots and cat pots. The room of new pet cats should be based on the principle that it does not interfere with the original cat's daily life. After bringing the new pet cat into the isolation room, let it explore the new environment by itself, and then spend hours with it every day, and it will gradually accept you as its new owner.
