According to Portugal's "Globe", Chelsea is considering paying a 40 million euro termination fee and signing Braga winger Roger Fernandez.

19-year-old Roger Fernandez is a Portugal U21 international. He is a left-footed player from Braga's youth training. Last season, Roger Fernandez made 28 appearances in the Portuguese Premier League, scoring 3 goals and assisting 4 times. The contract between Roger Fernandez and Braga expires in June 2028, with a termination fee of 40 million euros.

Chelsea are interested in Roger Fernandez, but Braga is reluctant to sell players at a lower price. In order to get Roger Fernandez, Chelsea considered paying a full termination fee of 40 million euros. Chelsea executives realized that only by doing so could they sign the player.

The Globe revealed that Chelsea plans to let the players go to Strasbourg for a season after signing Roger Fernandez this summer. Chelsea and Strasbourg have the same owner, and Roger Fernandez can wait until next summer to return to Chelsea to participate.
