Previously, several media said that Nkunku may join the transfer of Xavi Simmons to Chelsea, but Biography today refuted the rumor, saying that Leipzig had no intention of signing Nkunku back.

According to the Guardian and the Dutch Telegraph, the Nkunku may become part of the transfer negotiations between Leipzig and its current boss, Chelsea.

The alleged transaction plan is: Leipzig lets out Xavi Simmons at a low price of about 40 million euros, and in exchange, Nkunku will return to Leipzig.

However, according to Biography, whether it is a direct purchase or as part of Harvey's transfer, Nkunku's return is unrealistic. The main reason is that his salary structure can no longer adapt to the current team framework.

Leipzig sports director must cut 20% of his salary expenditure in the existing roster and is gradually parting ways with high-paying players. Nkunku's annual salary at Chelsea is currently as high as about 20 million euros, which will seriously exceed the budget. Just as Chelsea had proposed to join other stars in the Xavi Simmons negotiations, the salary issue was equally difficult to solve.

Xavi Simmons' transfer is still possible, but it should be clear that Leipzig refuses any form of player exchange. The door for Xavi Simmons to join Chelsea is still open. As long as the transfer fee is in place, the club will not set up obstacles for him. Leipzig price players at least 70 million euros.
