According to the Liverpool Echo, Salah may miss six Premier League games next season due to the African Cup.

The 2025 African Cup was originally scheduled to be held this summer, but the event was finally rescheduled to December 21 this year and January 18 next year. This schedule means that Premier League stars participating in the African Cup will miss many league games.

Echo said that the Egyptian team where Salah is located faces Zimbabwe on December 22, South Africa on the 26th, and Angola on the 29th. Therefore, Salah will miss the away game to Tottenham on December 20, against Wolves at home on the 27th and Leeds United at home on the 30th. The 16th round of the African Cup is scheduled to be held from January 3 to 6, the quarter-finals will be held from January 9 to 10, the semi-finals will be held from January 14, the third and fourth finals will be held from January 17, and the finals will be held from January 18.

If Egypt advances to the top 16, Salah will also miss Liverpool's match against Fulham on January 3. If Egypt continues to move forward, he will also miss the match against Arsenal on January 7 and Burnley on January 17.

According to the current arrangement, the third round of the FA Cup will be held on the weekend from January 10 to 11. If Salah enters the quarterfinals of the African Cup with Egypt, he will miss the FA Cup. If Liverpool reaches the League Cup semi-finals, Salah may miss the first leg match held on January 12.

Salah's last match for Liverpool before the African Cup may be the quarter-finals of the League Cup held on December 15, and the winger may also miss a Champions League match, with the 7th round of the Champions League phase scheduled to be held from January 20 to 21.
