According to British media talkSPORT, if Forest fires Nuno Santo, Obo will be their first choice for changing coaches.

Nottingham Forest coach Nuno Santo and club owner Marinakis have deteriorated. If Forest decides to fire Nuno Santo, former Tottenham coach Postkoglu will be their first choice for changing coaches. It is understood that Marinakis has had a direct conversation with Postkoglu, and the two have maintained a personal relationship. Although Postkoglu led Tottenham to the UEFA Cup last season, the club fired the Australian.

British media talkSPORT learned that although Nuno Santo is currently expected to lead the Premier League against Crystal Palace on Sunday, his coaching position is still at stake. At a press conference on Friday, Nuno Santo revealed that his relationship with Marinakis had deteriorated, and it was reported that the two had a decrease in communication compared to last season after the arrival of former Arsenal sporting director Edu. There are also differences between Nuno Santo and Edu, who are not completely consistent in their signing strategies and game styles.

TalkSPORT learned that Nuno Santo had wanted to bring Fulham winger Adama Traore earlier this summer and believed Edu had blocked the transfer, although club sources insisted that the player himself was the key to any potential trade failure. Forest initially denied the possibility of firing Nuno Santo, but Friday's press conference angered Marinakis, leading to an emergency meeting at the club's top executives, and the possibility of Nuno Santo leaving after the weekend remains high.

Marinakis admires Klopp, who is believed to be happy with his position as global football director at Red Bull. Edu is working closely with Marinakis to develop a unified style and recruitment model for the latter's clubs, and whether Nuno Santo is suitable for this new strategy remains questionable.

Postkoglu rejected an invitation from the Saudi club this summer, and people close to the coach insisted that the two sides had not yet formally contacted him, but talkSPORT learned that Marinakis had contacted him directly and informally about a potential vacant position.
